More than a hundred parents and community members gathered at the Senior/Community Center on Thursday, February 8 for an open forum on mental health and substance abuse. The event was hosted by the Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee and Healthy Community Healthy Youth, and moderated by Eric Scott, broadcaster for New Jersey 101.5, who began the event sharing how addiction has personally affected his family.
“My name is Eric Scott and my son is a heroin addict,” he said. “But there is no shame in admitting that, and where there is life there is hope, from treatment, and acceptance.”
