Torrential Spring Storm Dumps Four Inches of Rain

Heavy rain that began around 4 a.m. on Monday, April 16, and continued to about 11:30 a.m. dumped 3½ to four inches of rain on the township. The rain, torrential at times, caused flash flooding as brooks and catch basins overfl owed. Exacerbating the situation was natural debris left over from last month’s storms that had made its way into storm drains, blocking them up.
