The American Division of the Super Essex Conference (SEC) contested its track and field championships at Newark School Stadium on Friday, May 11. The contest saw seven teams battling to be named champion of the toughest division in the conference.
The Lancers, after a tough loss to East Orange, 75-65, on May 9, arrived at the facility, prepared to do their best. “In this championship meet, the scoring toward the title is done by placing in the top six in an event,” explained coach Dave Czeizinger. “The individual is awarded points in the order 10-8-6-4-2-1 according to his finish, first through sixth place.”
