Township Couple Indicted For Stealing From Stroke Victim

A husband and wife from Livingston were indicted earlier this month after allegedly stealing more than $100,000 from a stroke victim in the woman’s care, according to an announcement from New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor. “Elder abuse is a cruel and despicable crime targeting those unable to protect themselves,” Grewal said on the eve of World Elder Abuse Day, Friday, June 15. “World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is an opportunity for New Jersey to unite with communities around the world in denouncing the financial, physical, and emotional abuse or neglect of our vulnerable senior citizens, and to demonstrate our efforts to protect them from harm.” To read more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition http://www.etypeservices.com/West%20Essex%20TribuneID480/ ...
