Services Held For Holocaust Survivor

Ruth Salamon-Abramsky, 89, a Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, and five slave labor camps, died on June 14. Mrs. Abramsky was a co-plaintiff in the 2015 trial of former SS guard Oskar Groning, known as the “Accountant of Auschwitz.” Her three siblings and her mother were murdered at Auschwitz. Liberated in 1945 at age 16, Mrs. Abramsky came to the U.S. and settled in Newark. She moved to Livingston in 1969 and served as an office manager for Ketcham and McDougall. Predeceased by her husband, Jack, she is survived by two sons, Larry and Philip; her daughter-in-law, Kathy; and two grandchildren. Services were held on June 15. Memorial contributions may be made to the NACOEJ (North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry) or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. ...
