Taste and Toast Raises $400K for JVS

Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest New Jersey (JVS) broke both attendance and fundraising records at its annual Taste and Toast gala held on June 20 at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange. The event attracted more than 300 attendees and generated more than $400,000 in corporate sponsorships and charitable donations. In addition, more than $25,000 was raised during the event itself — and matched, dollar-for-dollar, by presenting sponsor Valley National Bank — to acquire and operate a van that will transport JVS clients to and from internships and volunteer positions at businesses and community-based organizations located throughout Essex County.
