Two Livingston residents recently completed a 140.6-mile Ironman triathlon in Lake Placid, New York.
Brandon Minde and Barry Janay competed in the Ironman Lake Placid race on Sunday, July 22. The race included a 2.4-mile swim in Mirror Lake, a 112-mile bike ride through the area’s surrounding mountains and towns, and a 26.2 marathon run through the Village of Lake Placid.
“Competing in a full Ironman was always on both of our bucket lists,” Minde said. “Both of us have competed in past NJ State Triathlons, although those are much shorter distances.”
