Feb. 4, 1944 – June 30, 2018 It is with devastating sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arthur D. Giampolo, beloved father, grandfather, brother, veteran, entrepreneur, and former Vice President of JAG Enterprises. To know Arthur is to love his generous heart, experience unceasing laughter and treasure his unbridled pride in and loyalty to his family and friends. A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, August 4 at St. Philomena’s Church in Livingston, where Arthur served as an altar boy for many years. Born in Newark to John and Rose Giampolo, Arthur grew up in Livingston and graduated from St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in 1963. He continued his education at Union Junior College in Cranbury, studying Business. Circa 1968, Arthur joined the New Jersey National Guard and completed his military service in Springfield, Massachusetts after becoming the Business Landlord Manager of the Giampolo Property Association. As Manager of a warehouse on 401 Dwight Street in Chicopee, Massachusetts, Arthur not only was responsible for every aspect of the building’s maintenance and operation, but he launched his own entrepreneurial business manufacturing decorative bows with his partner, Solange Cossette. After the property was sold, Arthur trained and served as a home health care aide for many years. Arthur was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Charles, and Frank, and his, nephew, Jack. He is survived by his son, Arthur Jr. (Fanny), and his daughter, Angela D. Giampolo, Esq. (Kristina). He is also survived by his siblings, John (Bernadette), Rosemarie, Julie, Patricia, Carol Scheskowsky (Bob) and Nicholas; his former wife, Solange Cossette, as well as his first grandchild, Edmond, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
