July 1, 1923 – Aug. 19, 2018 The Lieberman family is saddened to announce the passing of beloved mother and grandmother, Helen Oken Lieberman, at the age of 95. Helen was a former vice principal of Collins Elementary School and a learning disabilities specialist in the Livingston school system. A graduate of Hunter High School and Hunter College, Helen later earned her master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Helen married the love of her life, Herbert A. Lieberman (1920- 2016) on August 21, 1949. She is survived by their sons, Bruce and Rob, and daughters-in-law, Patti and Marilyn, along with grandsons Peter, Danny, and Matthew, who have been inspired by her selfless nature, playful spirit, and devotion to her family. She was interred in King Solomon Cemetery in Clifton on August 21, 2018, and she will be greatly missed. Contributions can be made to Livingston Public Schools, 11 Foxcroft Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039. Include in memo: “for Collins School in memory of Helen Lieberman.” ...
