Centenarian to Receive Bronze Star 73+ Years After Earning It in WWII

World War II naval veteran and lifelong 100-year Livingston resident Wilbur Hoffman has been waiting nearly 74 years to receive the medal he earned in 1944. On September 29, his long wait will be over. He will finally be presented with his medal during a ceremony at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 29, at 10 a.m. In attendance will be family members, congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, a representative of the Department of the Navy, and members of the Navy Color Guard.
