The Super Essex Conference (SEC) wound down its season with the Conference Championship meets on Wednesday, October 3, at Branch Brook Park, Newark, with the Livingston High School girls’ cross country team competing in the 12-team Liberty Division.
The Lady Lancers, noted coach Dave Czeizinger, “had weathered a rocky season, but managed to post a 21-7 overall SEC record and were a solid 10-1 in Liberty division competition. This had the squad seeded second going into the day’s championship race behind Caldwell, which had defeated Livingston soundly during the dual meet season.”
