Offer Funeral Mass For Oronzo Muraglia

Oronzo Muraglia, 86, of Livingston, died November 18. The funeral was held from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, Clifton, on Saturday, November 24, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Philomena Church in Livingston. Interment took place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Mr. Muraglia was born in East Orange and lived in Belleville and Livingston for many years. He was a manager with AT&T in New York City and Newark, where he worked for 35 years. He was a Korean War veteran and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Orange. He was a member of the Ambulance Squad Silver Ridge Westerly in Toms River and Bloomfield UNICO, and was also active in veterans’ organizations. Mr. Muraglia was the husband of the late Carmela (Allonardo); the father of Joseph Muraglia and his companion Toni Gammaro of North Arlington; Marie Conklin and her husband, Ernest, of Haskell; Pamela Marino and her husband, Michael, of Belleville; Camille Grasso and her companion, John Shumko, of Clifton; and Carmine Muraglia of Lyndhurst. He was also the brother to John Muraglia of Westfield; Vito Muraglia of Lakewood; Vincent Muraglia of Las Vegas, Nevada; Anna Muraglia of Canton, Georgia; and the late Ann Bottone. In addition, he is survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
