Celebrating Life at Cycle for Survival

Morethan 1,500 peopleparticipated in the 13th annual Cycle for Survival event at Equinox Fitness in Summit on Saturday, February 2. Martha Ackermann of Livingston, currently a Memorial Sloan Ketttering Cancer Center (MSK) patient, helped kick off the day with an invited ride on “Jen’s Bike.” The specially designated spin bike honors Cycle for Survival co-founder, Jen Goodman Linn, who lost her cancer battle in 2011, at age 40. Linn co-founded Cycle for Survival with her husband when she was challenged by her diagnosis of sarcoma. She was the sister of Brett Goodman (LHS class of 1986) and the daughter of Sandy and Len Goodman. The Livingston native was a member of the Livingston High School class of 1989 and an LHS Hall of Fame recipient.
