Although last Saturday’s Vintage Fur Sale to benefit Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI) was snowed-out, donations of used furs continue to arrive from generous Livingston residents, announced LPI founder and director Jeff “The Coat Guy” Friedman. The sale has been rescheduled for this Saturday, March 9. “In fact, LPI volunteers learned that many residents have older furs hanging in closets for years, very likely inherited from beloved family members. Many folks have them, it turns out, because they simply don’t know what to do with the coats, jackets and stoles of all styles and fur varieties. Additional procurements included men’s socks and men’s XL and XXL winter coats. Looking at the frigid temperatures this week and weekend, I will order another case of 108 pairs of winter gloves for rush delivery. Now that we are a registered non-profit, we can accept monetary donations and make these purchases for fellow humans who are beyond ‘less fortunate.’ ” Vehicle Still Needed LPI, now in its eighth season of operation, still does not ...
