Funeral Mass June 3 For Grace Russo, 87

Grace Irene Russo (nee Bozza) of Livingston died Monday, May 28. She was 87 years old.

Born and raised in Jersey City to MaryandPasqualeBozza,Mrs.Russo moved to Livingston in 1963.

Over the past 20 years, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Township of Livingston clerk’s office. Formerly, she worked as a paralegal for Foster-Wheeler in Livingston for 25 years, and served as an officer of the Peachtree Credit Union.

Mrs. Russo was widely known for her community service in Livingston, earning numerous awards and recognitions. Her most recent was the President’s Volunteer Award. She was an active member of the Livingston League of Women Voters, and served as its vice president up until her death.

She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Russo; the mother of Patricia Russo and her husband, John Karr; Alan Russo; Jennifer Russo and her husband, Domenico Spagnolo; and Robyn Russo-Cuppari and her husband, Jerry Cuppari; and the sister of the late Michael Bozza and his wife, Monica; and Peter Bozza and his wife, Grace. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the La-Monica Memorial Home, 145 East Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 7 p.m.

The Funeral will commence at the funeral home on Monday, June 3, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church in Livingston. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Livingston Fire Department, 62 South Livingston Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039, or to the Livingston League of Women Voters, P.O. Box 583, Livingston, NJ 07039.
