BOE Honors Student Rep and Retirees

The Livingston Board of Education honored Philippe Jallow, the outgoing student representative to the Board, and 11 of the district’s retiring teachers, at its meeting on June 3.

Between these celebrations, Board president Buddy August commented on the passing of longtime township resident, Grace Russo, at age 87. August, a former mayor of the township, said she was one of his favorite people.

“You knew her if you went to Town Hall or the Senior Center,” he said. “Livingston lost a real treasure. She always wanted to know what she could do for you.

“Heaven is much brighter today with her there.”
