Eleanore O. Sochor (nee Osman), 94, of Livingston died Saturday, June 1.
Born in Newark to Barry and Marie Osman, Mrs. Sochor moved to Livingston in 1952 with her husband, Rudy, who predeceased her in 2010.
She worked as an executive secretary for most of her career. In addition, she volunteered her time at Saint Barnabas Medical Center for decades, and participated in charity knitting projects.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sochor was predeceased by her sister, Pearl Sklanka, and her brothers, Herbert and Edward Osman. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Stanko; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are private under the direction of Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston.
In September, 1904, four grades met in the primary room of District School No. 2 at Northfield Center, where Roosevelt School was later located.
