Michael T. Luckewicz passed away peacefully on May 27, 2019. He was 59 years old. Michael was born on January 31, 1960. He is the son of Wsewolod and Marcia Luckewicz of Livingston, N.J. Michael graduated from Livingston High School in 1978. After graduating Lehigh University in 1982, he went on to complete his Juris Doctorate in Law from Seton Hall University in 1985.

He was married to Meredith Wehner from 1984-2014. Michael worked for Ernst and Young in Paris, France from 1987-1993. He loved his years in Paris, relishing French food, wine and culture. He made many Parisian friends who remained close until his death. After returning to the U.S. in 1994 he worked for Ernst and Young in Boston, Massachusetts. His most recent position was Director of Tax for Booz, Allen and Hamilton in Parsippany, N.J. He lived in Basking Ridge, N.J. for many years and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island at his summer home.

In 2018, Michael was diagnosed with dementia and moved into Arden Courts in West Orange, N.J., a memory care center. Though a devastating illness, he enjoyed a quality of life with his fellow residents and was well loved and taken care of by a special group of nurses and caregivers in this final chapter of his life. It was a miraculous year where Michael revealed to friends and family that he could still find happiness in a tragic situation. Everyone who came in contact with him learned from him, and his ability to touch others will remain a powerful legacy for years to come.

Surviving are his children, Tyler Luckewicz of Hillsborough, N.J., Emilie Luckewicz of Maui, Hawaii, and Camille Luckewicz of Eatontown, N.J., his sisters, Patricia Singley, Diana von Hoffmann, and Valerie Howard, his brothers-inlaw, Eric von Hoffmann, Gregg Howard, and Robert Singley, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 at Bishop Jane United Methodist Church, 22 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, N.J. at 11:00 am.
