Town to Celebrate Independence Day

Livingston’s 83rd annual 4th of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4 will start at 9 a.m. and provide a full day of activities, leading up to the fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. Contingency plans have been made in case of rain. Car Show The township’s celebration will feature the 26th annual Auto Show, assisted by the Natural Glass Corvette Club. Patrons may vote for their favorite cars, and trophies will be awarded to the top-voted vehicles. Patriotic Ceremony At 10 a.m., the Patriotic Ceremony at Haines Pool will provide the “official kick-off” to the day. The ceremony will include participation by the American Legion, the Girl Scouts, the Jewish War Veterans, the Boy Scouts, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and its Auxiliary, and the Livingston Township Council.
