In response to several complaints from residents, Livingston’sTownship Council discussed the best way to handle aggressive solicitors in town. One company in particular appears to be in violation of a town ordinance, and township attorney Shari Weiner is asking residents to help the town build a case against the company.
Aptive Environmental, a pest control company, has been selling exterminator contracts door-to-door in Livingston for several weeks. During that time, employees have reportedly not obeyed the Do Not Knock ordinance protecting residents from unwanted solicitors, according to complaints received by Council.
