Three Newark residents were arrested by Livingston Police last week after an alert resident caught them trying to enter his vehicles.
At about 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, a Sheffield Court resident called the police to report that three people had just tried to enter three vehicles in his driveway. All of the vehicles were secure, so the suspects fled empty handed and returned to their vehicle.
Responding officers soon located a 2004 Chevy Malibu with three male occupants on Thames Drive and conducted a motor vehicle stop.
