Riker Hill “Ramily” Rides in Century Bike Tour

A multi-age Riker Hill School “Ramily” of 15 took a 15-mile bike ride in support of the 30th and final NYC Century Bike Tour on Sunday, September 8. The tours were organized by Transportation Alternatives, a bike advocacy group. The Riker Hill group embraced the Riker Hill School mascot – the ram – and the “Ramily theme” as espoused by school principal Justin Toomey. “The play on the words’ ‘ram family’ led to the kids’ chanting “We are ramily!’ said parent Rachana Sheth. “So we customized the helmets with ram horns and the Riker Hill slogan, #weareramily.”     To read more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition http://www.etypeservices.com/West%20Essex%20TribuneID480/   ...
