Gerry Greenspan, 77, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Gerry spent most of his life in Livingston before moving to Florham Park three years ago.
A graduate of Weequahic High School and the University of Maryland, Gerry played with the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1963 to 1964 and is remembered in the Newark Hall of Fame and the MetroWest Jewish Sports Hall of Fame 2005.
Gerry was the loving father of Jamie and Jill Greenspan, devoted grandfather ofTaylor, Sydney, and Lindsay, and cherished brother of Barbara Drucks and Adele Harris.
A funeral service celebrated his life on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road in Livingston. Interment followed at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
