School Board Passes Resolution To Ban Vaping by Children and Teens

The Livingston Board of Education approved a resolution Monday night to address vaping concerns for children and teenagers.The resolution notes the existence of 530 confirmed and probable cases of lung illness associated with the use of e-cigarettes and vaping products, and that 20 percent of high school students in New Jersey use vaping products. The draft resolution called for the NJ Legislature and Governor Philip Murphy to impose an immediate temporary statewide ban on the sale of all vaping and e-cigarette products [regardless of the purchaser’s age]. This draft had been circulated among the Board members.
