UNDERGROUND GAS WORK caused traffic delays in the Northfield Road-Route 10 circle area on Friday, October 11. According to Livingston junior water utility engineer Nathan Kiracofe, Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) was running gas service for a new car wash at the circle. The underground work necessitated the closing of lanes on West Northfield Road, and the work took longer than initially expected, Kiracofe said, continuing on throughout the afternoon. Traffic back-ups were heavy by 3:30 p.m., when this photo was taken. The work was done by 5:30 p.m., Kiracofe said.
