Maryann B. Danton

Maryann B. Danton (née Kopec), 72, a longtime resident of Livingston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2019 with her loving family at her side. Born in Bayonne, she moved to Livingston 43 years ago. Maryann was a homemaker and caretaker, worked for the Social Security Administration, and retired as a bus aide for the Board of Education in Livingston. Maryann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel – together again… together forever; her parents, John and Mary Kopec (née Habinowski); her in-laws, Jack and Pauline Danton (née Loss); her brother-in-law, Arthur Danton; and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Danton. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Jill and Alison Danton; her cherished granddaughter, Caitlin; her dear brother, John Michael Kopec; her brother-in-law, Bernard Danton; her nephews, Justin M. Kopec and Ben Danton; and her niece, Casey Danton. She is also survived by many loving cousins and dear family friends. Her favorite pastimes were short getaways to Atlantic City and playing cards with her late husband and close friends. She had been admired throughout her life for her remarkable strength, her commitment to her family and others, her kindness and love, and her adventurous spirit and sense of humor. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 18, at St. Philomena’s Church, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
