Private Service Held For John M. Notte, 86

John M. “Jack” Notte, a longtime resident of Livingston, died on December 8. Born and raised in Newark, he played high school football and was inducted into the Newark Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Mr. Notte served in the U.S. Army during the KoreanWar, and worked as a pension fund manager for Prudential for 35 years. He also served on the board of OCEC, an organization for the mentally disabled. Predeceased by his brother, Gregory, Mr. Notte is survived by his wife of 41 years, Laurette D. Notte; his children, Edwin Pienkowski and his fiancée, Rita Ragone, Lynnette “Sissy” Barg and her husband, Jeff, and Laura Tunney; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held privately. Donations in Mr. Notte’s memory may be made to the Livingston Police Department or First Aid Squad. ...
