Offer Mass Saturday For Jacqueline Huber

Jacqueline Mary Huber died Saturday, December 28, in her Livingston home. She was 88 years old.Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Mrs. Huber was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, onApril 13, 1931 and was raised in Ohio, and later in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from the Catholic Girls’School of LA, she attended Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. During her time in Los Angeles, she met her future husband, Richard E. Huber, originally of Newark. The couple relocated to New Jersey and were married in Vailsburg. After graduation, Mrs. Huber worked as an elementary school teacher in Los Angeles, California and, later on, in New Jersey in the South Orange and Maplewood school systems. As her five children grew older, she re-entered the workforce in various capacities, spending the last 20 years of her career at Horizon Blue Cross-Blue Shield as a special claims adjuster. Mrs. Huber was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Richard, and her son, Eric Jeffrey. She is survived by her children, Richard, Jr., Kurt, Erika Mulreed, and Wade; and five grandchildren. ...
