Albert A. Laub

Albert A. Laub, 99, of North Caldwell, died December 23, 2019. Born in Newark, he lived in Livingston,NJ,DelrayBeach,FL,Boynton Beach, FL, North Caldwell, NJ, and Whippany, NJ, before moving to West Caldwell, NJ in 2019. Mr. Laub was the owner of Economy Pest Control for ten years, retiring in 1982. Previously he was the owner of the Armory Tavern, a tavern and package goods store in Newark, NJ. He was a veteran in the US Army Air Corps from 1943 through 1946. During his time in the service, he received the Philippines Liberation Ribbon, the American Service Medal, theAsiatic Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Livingston Lodge of B’nai B’rith, Liberty Young Men’s Association, the NJ Pest Control Association, and was a past Commander of the DAV (Department ofArmyVeterans) Chapter 152 of Delray Beach, FL. He was also a Mason for many years. Mr. Laub received an Associate’s Degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Myra. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Jeffrey) Barta of North Caldwell, NJ, his son, Dr. Jordan (Patricia) Laub, of Portland, OR, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Services were held December 26, 2019 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield. ...
