Livingston residents have been steadily supporting Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), reports founder and director Jeff Friedman. “Our volunteers are awestruck by Livingston’s ongoing generosity,” he noted. “Due to contributions arriving by check, PayPal and credit card, LPI continues to ship food and bottled waters to the homeless and profoundly poor in Newark and East Orange. Thank you, Livingston friends!”
With the pandemic still raging, he continued, “Conditions are worse than ever for those living on the streets or in extreme poverty. Plus, so many are out of work now and needing a pantry take-out bag or box to feed their hungry families. Help LPI feed people who are not in a position to help themselves by donating now. “LPI almost never provided food items prior to the pandemic. Now, our mission is all about reinventing ourselves to provide basic sustenance for those living way below the poverty line,” concluded Friedman. “Won’t you help if you are in a position to do so?”
