Nevola Announces Board of Education Candidacy

Bridgette Nevola

Bridgette Nevola has announced her intention to run for the open seat in the upcoming Livingston Public Schools Board of Education election this November. Below, the 22-year Livingston resident has submitted a statement upon entering the race:   Hello, my name is Bridgette Nevola and I am running for the Livingston Board of Education. Our family has lived in town for 22 years and I have seen this town through the eyes of a teacher, volunteer, and parent. We raised our three children here and they have benefi tted from the stellar education provided by Livingston Public Schools. Our family operates on the motto of JFK: “to whom much is given, much is required.” My husband, Ken, and I instilled the values of servant-leadership by acting as role models for our three daughters and by working side by side in serving the community at events like Youth Appreciation Week, LACD, and the Kiwanis Karnivals. We believe in giving back to our community as active members in Kiwanis, Girl Scouts, the Hillside School PTA, LHS Band Boosters, the Knights of Columbus, Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities (LACD), Livingston Justice, St. Philomena’s Church CCD, and other town organizations. I believe that a strong community is one that cares for each other and listens to their needs and voices. Livingston can leverage the skills and talents of these, and other, organizations to build character and leadership skills, mentorships, and service opportunities. We can leverage the skills and voices of our community to move toward equity for all of our community members.     To read more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition http://www.etypeservices.com/West%20Essex%20TribuneID480/   ...
