LPI Donations Part of Food Distribution

The Bessie Green Community Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, a long-time distribution partner of Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), recently teamed with other Newark agencies to serve hundreds of families in the parking lot at Barringer High School in Newark. LPI supplied hundreds of baked goods packages through its partnership with Bimbo Bakeries, Inc. in Wayne. Bessie Green leaders thanked the Newark Police, Second Precinct, Essex County Sheriff’s Office and the Newark Fire Department for stepping up for the big event. Meanwhile, LPI volunteers are currently purchasing items that are needed more than ever for the homeless and profoundly poor. Tax-free contributions to provide diapers, baby bottles, children’s clothing, baby formula, baby wipes and food pantry supplies may be mailed to LPI, P.O. Box 247, Livingston, NJ 07039 or handled immediately on PayPal at paypal.me/lpinj. “As always, thank you, Livingston neighbors,” said LPI founder and director Jeff Friedman.
