Funeral Service Held For Jonah Eisenstark

Jonah Eric Eisenstark of West Orange, a former Livingston resident and United States Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq War, died Thursday, June 14. He was 39 years old. A funeral service was held Monday, June 18, at the Bernheim-Apter- Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston. Burial followed at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin. Born in Summit, Mr. Eisenstark was a Livingston High School graduate and attended the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He joined the U.S. Marines and served in the Iraq War. After his discharge from the Marines, he was a customer service representative with Verizon in its Livingston headquarters. Mr. Eisenstark is survived by his parents, Jacob and Blanche (Greenstein) Eisenstark; his sisters, Julie and Nicole Eisenstark; and his companion, Ace. The family has suggested that donations in his memory may be made to Homes for Veterans, 105 Highland Avenue, Harrington Park, NJ 07640, homesforveterans.us.

Lucille Desimone, 98, Dies in Pasadena, CA

Former Livingston resident Lucille E. Desimone, 98, of Pasadena, California, died June 10, at her home in Pasadena, California. A resident of New Jersey for 97 years, she formerly lived in Convent Station, Livingston, Holiday City, South Orange, Newark, and Verona, before moving to Pasadena in 2017. Born of Italian immigrant parents in Newark in 1919, Mrs. Desimone began her work career as a union garment worker during World War II and later worked at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, from which she retired in 1984. She was a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows parish in South Orange and St. Philomena Church in Livingston. She was an active member of Livingston’s Senior Club Mrs. Desimone was predeceased by her husband, Augustine Desimone; her sisters, Elvera SanFilippo and Faye Incitti; her brothers, Michelangelo Contino and Alfred Contino; her son, Dr. Patsy Desimone; and her daughter, Lucille Leta.

Funeral Mass Offered For Stasi Aquino, 29

Stasi Aquino of West Orange, formerly of Livingston, died June 10 at the age of 29. A funeral Mass was offered on Saturday, June 16, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, West Orange. Arrangements were by the Dangler Funeral Home. Ms. Aquino was born in Livingston, and started school at Aquinas Academy in Livingston. She then lived most of her life in West Orange. She was graduated from Morris Catholic School, and attended the County College of Morris, where she received certification as a medical assistant. She most recently worked as an office/testing assistant at Essex Testing in Verona. Ms. Aquino is survived by her parents, Richard Anthony Aquino, and Theresa Rose Stasi and her husband, Matthew T. Dolan; and her grandmother, Dolores Aquino. The family has suggested that donations be made in her name to Integrity House, 103 Lincoln Park, Newark, NJ 07102. Visitation Held Wed. For Kristina Larsen

Kristina Marie Larsen of Livingston died Friday, June 15, at the age of 50. Memorial visitation was held yesterday, Wednesday, June 20, at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Ms. Larsen was born in East Orange, and lived her entire life in Livingston. She was a homemaker and a member of the Livingston B.P.O. Elks’ Lodge 1855. Daughter of the late Bob and Nancy Larsen, she was the mother of Nikki Zarro, Gina Zarro, and Joey Zarro; and the sister of Ellen Larsen Rice, Robin Larsen, Leslie Larsen, and the late Tom Larsen. Hold Funeral Mass For Carol Ann Sexton

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, June 14, at St. Philomena’s Church in Livingston for Carol Ann Sexton, 73, who died on June 8 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Mrs. Sexton grew up in the Ivy Hill section of Newark and raised her family in Livingston before retiring in West Orange. She had worked at the former Beef and Bottle Restaurant on the Livingston Circle as waitress, bartender and assistant manager She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Terence, and her three sons, Michael of Nutley, Vincent of San Diego, California, and Sean of Stevenson Ranch, California; her four grandchildren; and her brother, Vincent (Eileen) Salerno. She was predeceased by her sister, Cathy Saverino.

Services Were Held For Corrine Schwartz

Corrine Forster Schwartz, 82, died on June 9 in Los Gatos, California. Born in Newark, she raised her family in Livingston before moving to Roseland and then to Verona. Services were held at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, with arrangements by Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel. Shiva services will conclude today, Thursday, June 14, from from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.at the Claridge, 1 Claridge Drive, Verona. Predeceased by her husband, Leonard, and her sister, Sondra Friedner, she is survived by her son, Andrew (Elisa Canova) of Denver, Colorado; her daughters, Marci (Gary Richman) of Los Gatos, and Jodi of Surf City; four grandchildren; and her brother, Joe Forster of Verona. Mrs. Schwartz taught elementary school in East Orange and West Orange. After retiring, she taught at the Barry Greene Early Childhood Center of B’nai Jeshurun, where she developed an Early Literacy Program.

Mass Offered For Giovanni Berlangieri

Giovanni “John” Berlangieri died on June 7 at the age of 92.Born and raised in Laviano, Italy, he moved to the USA in 1966 and lived in Orange, West Orange, Roseland and Livingston. After World War II, he was a construction worker in southern France. He later was an assembly line worker for Westinghouse in Newark, and a crossing guard for West Orange, retiring when he was 88 years old. He was predeceased by his wife, Olga Berlangieri (née Spiotta), and his daughter, Anna Lucia Fiorilli. Surviving are his children, Vincent Berlangieri (Elizabeth); Maria Scaglione; Nicola Berlangieri; Michael Berlangieri (Stacey); Antonella Dowd (John); and John Berlangieri (Joanne); 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters. A funeral Mass was offered on Tuesday, June 12, at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Barnabas Hospice Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, N.J. 07052.

Services Held Sunday For Annette Premock

Annette (Bosgang) Premock of Whippany, a former long-time resident of Livingston, died Friday, June 1, at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was 94 years old. A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 3, at the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel of Livingston. Burial followed at Beth-El Cemetery in Paramus. Services Were Held For Robert Goldberg

Robert Alan Goldberg, 82, of Livingston died on Saturday, May 26; the funeral service was held on May 29 at Bernheim-Apter-Keitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel. Born in Newark, Mr. Goldberg lived in East Orange and Orange prior to moving to Livingston. He graduated from MIT with a degree in engineering, and was a real estate appraiser and owner of Goldberg Realty in West Caldwell. Surviving are Mr. Goldberg’s wife, Diane; his children, Howard (fiancée, Joanne), Michael (Terri), and Kenneth (Melissa); his five grandchildren, and his brother, Norman (Diane). Funeral Mass Offered For Kathleen Mansfield

Kathleen T. Mansfield, 85, died Wednesday, May 16, in Livingston. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mansfield resided in Livingston for the past 52 years. She was a long-time parishioner and volunteer at St. Philomena Church in Livingston. She had also worked at the West Essex General Hospital; Burrelle’s Press Clippings; and at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home as a receptionist for many years. Mrs. Mansfield was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and her siblings, Eleanor Rush, Jack Flood, and Dorothy Gangi. She is survived by her children, Pat (Cesar Coral), Timothy (Tracey), Eileen Wallin (Russell), Robert (Barbara), Kathy Peck (Michael), and Kevin (Annmarie); her sister, Marjorie Hearn; and 13 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 20, at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. The funeral Mass was offered on Monday, May 21, at St. Philomena Church, Livingston, with interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
