Travel Basketball Teams Honored

The Lancer girls' softball team

The Lancer girls' softball team was host to the number one-ranked Mt. St. Dominic in the season opener on the Oval. The Lancers were defeated by the Lions, 8-0. The girls went on to defeat Bloomfield, 7-6, in extra innings at home on Monday, April 6.

The LHS boys' varsity voll eyball team

The LHS boys' varsity voll eyball team defeated Ridge to record its second victory of the season. The Lancers defeated the Devils, 25-15 and 25-16, in the Fitness and Wellness Center on Monday, April 6. Lancer frontliner Mickey Thompson, #12, scores on a kill against Ridge. Setting up the play is Lancer Dustin Cece, #5. The Lancers' record stands at 2-1.

David Cohen Is Named New Athletic Director for LHS

An accomplished teacher, supervisor, coach and player, David Cohen will be the new director of athletics for Livingston High School beginning July 1. He takes over the position from Patrick Genova, who is retiring at the end of this school year after 14 years in Livingston.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP:

Livingston's seventh grade girls' travel basketball team recently won the Essex County championship by defeating West Essex, 43-31. This is the third straight year that the team has reached the finals. The girls gave West Essex its first loss in three years earlier in the season.
