Born in Montclair, he started Halpert and Company in 1973, which he expanded to multiple offices throughout the east coast.

Mr. Halpert lived in Livingston for 25 years. He was active in Israel Bonds, Metro West NJ, Jewish Federation of South Florida, and Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Elizabeth Halpert Vernick and Jeffrey Halpert; and four grandchildren. Services were held at the Gardens of Boca Raton.
