Hans Joachim Conrads of Livingston was born April 4, 1933, and passed away on Monday, June 29.
Born in Newark, he had lived in Livingston for 46 years. He was a member of the Livingston Old Guard.
Mr. Conrads was predeceased by his parents, Heinrich (Henry) Conrads and Martha (Kaiser) Conrads; and his sister,Esther (Conrads) Darbyshire.
He is survived by his wife, Herta, to whom he was married for 61 years; his sons, Peter P. Conrads of Ohio and Mark David Conrads of Cedar Knolls; his grandchildren, Amanda, Mark Jr., and Samantha; and cousins and other family in Leipzig, Germany.
Mr. Conrads served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1956, and his favorite hymn was the Navy Hymn:
