County Roads To Be Repaved

Essex County officials have announced that portions of three county roads in Livingston are scheduled for resurfacing and repaving this spring. Walnut Street, from Mt. Pleasant Avenue to Eisenhower Parkway, will be milled on May 30; manholes and catch basins will be fi nished on June 1; and that portion of the road will be repaved June 2.

WATER MAIN BREAK FLOODS EISENHOWER PARKWAY

A major water main break at 316 Eisenhower Parkway occurred Tuesday afternoon. The northbound side of the road was shut down, while vehicles carefully made their way down the southbound side, which was flooded.

Boys' Volleyball Team Has 4-1 Record

The Livingston High School boys' volleyball team is off to a strong start, beginning the young season with a 4-1 record. This past week, the Lancers defeated Millburn and Golda Och Academy, and dropped a close match with JP Stevens in Edison.

Welcome, Spring

According to the 2016 calendar, spring has sprung. According to the last couple of week's of weather, it certainly has not. With the frigid temperatures last week, and some snowflakes falling this past Saturday, it has been difficult to believe that the season has changed at all. Thankfully, it seems like the weather will be taking a turn for the better in the upcoming days. Maybe, just maybe, we will finally leap into spring.
