Article Image Alt Text

Livingston High School’s spring track and field season came to an end on Saturday, June 8, with three Lancers – team captain Joe Cullen, Philmon Mehari, and Connor Sweeny – competing among the state’s best at the Meet of Champions.

The meet was held at Northern Burlington Regional High School and was the final stage of the NJSIAA State Championship Tournament. After two prior weeks of competitions, having to qualify to advance each week, they had, said coach Dave Czeizinger, “reached the pinnacle. They would be among and competing against, the best in the state in their respective events.” A fourth Lancer, Tafari Attoh, had also qualified in an amazing sophomore year campaign, but an unfortunate injury held him out of this competition.

Livingston Philanthropies Reaches Out For Volunteers for Fall Coat Drive Season

Article Image Alt Text

Editor’s Note: This week, Jeff “the Coat Guy” Friedman, founder and director of Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), has, in his own words, put out a call for volunteers before the beginning of the fall coat drive season.

By Jeff Friedman
I’d like to open with this beautiful quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
Along with requesting continued generous donations of all sorts to provide for the poor, homeless and disenfranchised, I want the community to know that Livingston Philanthropies Inc., (LPI) needs volunteers for the fall when season nine begins.
