It's a Scary World

It's a scary world out there these days. The news is fi lled with stories of all sorts of crimes. Right here in Livingston, an elderly resident was recently robbed by a man posing as an employee of the water department checking for low water pressure in the area. The man did not show any form of identifi cation and the trusting resident allowed him into her home. Fortunately, she was not injured and suffered only a loss of property. Gone are the days when we could leave our homes and cars unlocked. This week, mayor Michael Silverman has written an article for the Tribune reminding residents not to allow anyone into their homes without proper credentials, and providing other safety tips.
