Marlene Legatt, much loved mother, grandmother and new greatgrandmother, passed away peacefully August 4, 2018 at Daughters of Israel Nursing Home, West Orange, N.J. Marlene joined her beloved husband, Teddy, who passed away just three months earlier. A 54 year survivor of multiple sclerosis, Marlene was an inspiration. Born in 1936 in Queens, N.Y., she raised her family with Teddy and lived in Livingston from 1967 until her recent move to DOI. She was president of the Sisterhood at the Suburban Torah Center, Livingston. She volunteered for many community organizations, and was the event organizer of the Livingston Multiple Sclerosis Support Group for many years. She was a Master’s Point Bridge Player along with Teddy. All who knew her will remember her warmth, caring, and sense of humor. The family would appreciate any donations in her memory be made to the MS Society or Daughters of Israel. May her Memory Continue to be a Blessing.
