Livingston Runners Compete in Ashenfelter 8K

While many were still asleep or preparing for a Thanksgiving meal, members of the Livingston Track Club ventured to Glen Ridge, in what is becoming an annual tradition. They were all there to compete or support those competing in the Ashenfelter 8K Classic.

ANNUAL TURKEY BOWL

Approximately 40 children from fourth through seventh grade met in the snow at the Oval last week to play in their annual Turkey Bowl football game. This year, the players donated canned foods to CHOW (the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse).

Police Are Investigating Multiple Burglaries; Recommend Steps to Prevent Break-Ins

The Livingston Police Department has asked for residents’ assistance. Over the past month, there have been several daytime burglaries on West McClellan Avenue, Riker Hill Road, Irving Avenue, Congressional Parkway, Washington Court and the most recent one at 6 Tuscan Road.

Saint Barnabas Presents Plans For $210 Million Building Addition

Plans for a 269,982 square foot, $210 million addition to Saint Barnabas Medical Center were presented to the Livingston Planning Board on Tuesday evening, December 2. Attorney Peter Carton represented Saint Barnabas. The hospital's president and chief executive offi cer, Dr. Jack Bonamo and architect Kelly Miller provided testimony at the hearing.

Don Harlor Richardson, a member of Livingston's Central School, class of 1944, currently lives in Brevard,North Carolina. Now 84 years old, he has put together the following collection of Livingston memories as part of an authobiography he is writing. This is the third in a series of four articles he has written recalling his childhood in Livingston during the 1930s and '40s.
