John Kopinsky, Jr., 78, of Livingston, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. John was employed by Verizon for 40 years, holding various positions and became manager in the Madison office. Upon retirement in 2001, he became a crossing guard for the Livingston Police. John enjoyed knitting and crocheting; he made many afghans for all his family. He enjoyed watching football, baseball and hockey. He loved the beach and being with his grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of Linda for 57 years; the loving father of Lisa and her husband, Jim Ott; Alan; Glen and his wife, Lori Kopinsky; Dana and her husband, Joseph Alecci; and Dawn and her husband, Rich Vilacoba; and the grandfather of Alyssa, Molly, John, Matthew, Rachel, Eric, Hope, Jessica, and Claire.
