Services to Be Held For Joseph T. Mullin

Joseph Thomas Mullin, 82, died on Sunday, March 27 in West Orange.

Born in Orange, Mr. Mullin later moved to East Hanover, and then to Livingston. He served in the early 1960s as a Patrolman with the East Hanover Police Department, later working as a truck driver for Walsh Brothers Trucking in Newark. Most recently, he worked as the senior bus driver for the Township of Livingston before retiring.

He enjoyed spending time in Lake George, New York, with his family, camping, fishing and boating, as well as being in the company of his many grandchildren.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Dottie), as well as his son, Joseph Nicholas, he is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Christopher Mullin (Nancy) and Dorothy “Dootsie” Risch (Ronald); his adoring grandchildren, Timothy, Brendan, and Collin Cushman, Molly and Owen Mullin, and Ryan, Christopher, and Nicholas Mullin; as well as his great-granddaughter, Natalie.

Visitation will be held today, Thursday, March, 31, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral services will conclude the visitation at 7:30 p.m., with a prayer service to follow at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Mullin’s name may be made to either the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
