Ellen Palestine Dies, 69

Ellen Palestine died at the age of 69 on Sunday, May 28. She was born in the Bronx to Herta and Carl Mayer. She grew up in Englewood Cliffs and graduated from Glassboro State University.

She met her husband, Robert Palestine, in 1979. They married that year, and raised two children in Livingston.

Later in life Mrs. Palestine was on the National Board of Directors of the NationalAssociation of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and headed both the membership and scholarship committees.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years; her sons, Dave (Rebecca) and Daniel (Aylelet); and one grandson.

Afuneral service for Mrs. Palestine was held on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries, Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the HealthWell Foundation (healthwellfoundation. org/donate/) or Pan Foundation (panfoundation.org/).
