Gail Michaels Dies

Gail Lee (Mohr) Michaels died on Sunday, June 18, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Michaels was born on September 23, 1935, in Orange to Clifford and Margaret Mohr. After marrying John Michaels, the couple settled in Livingston and raised their five sons there, until moving to Wharton. Mrs. Michaels later moved to Hillsborough and spent her later years living with family and then eventually settled at Avalon Assisted Living.

She was a longtime member of the Livingston VFW and was past President of the Women’sAuxiliary.

Mrs. Michaels was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John E. Michaels Jr.; her son, John E. Michaels III; and her sister, Beverly.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey and wife, Cheryl; Clifford and wife Bobbie; Chip and wife, Stephanie and; Erik and wife, Heidi. Mrs. Michaels is also survived by several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

An interment took place at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover on Wednesday, June 21.
