Services Held For Stephen Geffner

Stephen Alan Geffner, 84, died at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida on Friday, August 4.

Mr. Geffner was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and was a graduate of Ohio University where he met his wife, Myra, and later studied at Brooklyn Law School.

In 1980, his interest in politics led him to a four-year role as councilman, deputy mayor, and mayor of Livingston where he raised his family. Mr. Geffner continued to be involved in the community by assisting his friends and neighbors with approvals for their properties and businesses.

He was a son to the late Freda and Max Geffner; husband to the late Myra Geffner; and father to his daughter, Marcy, and the late Jeffery Geffner.

A funeral service for Mr. Geffner was held on Monday, August 7, at Chabad of Short Hills. Following the funeral service was a burial at Beth Israel Cemetery, Cedar Knolls.
