With great sadness, the Martin Family announces the passing of their father, Kenneth V. Martin, Jr., who passed peacefully with his children and grandchildren by his side. He went to be with the Lord and his beautiful wife, Janet, on August 31, 2023 which would have been their 61st wedding anniversary.

Kenneth was 82 years old and proud Father of four children, nine grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.

Kenneth was born on November 25, 1940 in Morristown, New Jersey to Mary (Allen) and Kenneth V. Martin, Sr. He had four siblings, William, James, Suzanne, and Joan.

Kenneth married the love of his life, Janet (Liebenow) onAugust 31, 1962. Their union was blessed with four children, Kenneth Martin III, Karen McKenna, Kathleen Caputo and Kristina Schulman. They built a lovely life in Livingston, New Jersey, where they raised their children before moving to Easton, Pennsylvania in 2019.

Kenneth was predeceased by his loving wife, Janet; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Ralph D’Alconzo; his father, Kenneth V. Martin, Sr.; his brother, James; his sister, Joan; and his precious grandchildren, Kailey Janet Caputo and Kevin Richard McKenna. Kenneth is survived by his brother, William (Ruth) Martin; his sister, Suzanne (Ed) Demboski; his loving children, Kenneth (Lin) Martin III, of Parsippany, New Jersey, Karen McKenna (Steve Mate), of Livingston, New Jersey, Kathleen (Eddie) Caputo of Fort Meyers, Florida, and Kristina (Alan) Schulman, of Easton, Pennsylvania; his devoted, loving grandchildren, Reginald (Amanda) McKenna Jr., Kristin McKenna, Ryan McKenna, Anthony Buccieri (Amanda Deppa), Matthew Buccieri (Alexa Berdej), Stephanie Martin, and Richard Martin; and his very spoiled and loved dogs, Dino and Bianca.

Kenneth was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Tara Janet, Reggie III, and Ava McKenna, who absolutely adored their precious Pepa.

Kenneth will be remembered through his family, who exhibits the unconditional love that was always present, beginning with the beautiful relationship between him and Janet. Together, they delivered Motor Meals and always helped others with a smile and a kind word. We could always count on him to make us laugh with his incredible sense of humor. He instilled his compassion and love for all animals in his four children. He was always willing to help Janet with various behind-the-scenes volunteer projects at the Livingston United Methodist Church.

Kenneth’s most cherished times were spent with his family. He attended every school, music, and sporting event for all of his grandchildren. He had a special bond with all of his dogs in the family, as well, and they would always wait in line to sit on his lap. We were blessed to make so many beautiful memories as a family, and we’ll miss our Patriarch greatly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Livingston FirstAid Squad, the Shriners, and an animal shelter of your choice.
