The Livingston Chinese Association (LCA) held an online Independence Day celebration on July 4 that attracted 91 local families.
During the virtual event, the president of the LCA, Xiuju Jiang highlighted the organization’s achievements in the first half of2020. “The Livingston Chinese community managed the complex logistics for PPE (personal protection equipment) sourcing, secured critical medical supplies to local hospitals, and delivered food to hospitals and essential workers at the critical moment,” she said. “About 210 families have participated in the donations supporting the first responders. Medical personnel from local hospitals shared their personal experience in fighting the COVID-19, and highly praised the substantial physical and emotional support from the LCA community.”
