Elsie G. Cushman (nee Manna) of Monroe died Wednesday, February 11, at Inglemoor Care Center in Livingston. She was 86 years old. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 14, at the Dangler Funeral Home in West Orange, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Valley Church in West Orange. Entombment took place at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Cushman was born and raised in Orange and lived in Livingston before moving to Monroe many years ago. For 48 years, she was the dispatcher for Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) in East Orange. Mrs. Cushman was predeceased by her husband, Bernard, and her siblings, James, Anthony, and Carman Manna, Louise D'Allessio, and Adeline Patanina. She is survived by her stepson, Bernard Cushman Jr.; her sisters, Patsy Manna, Dolores Williams, Marie O'Mullen, Catherine O'Connor, Ann Manna, and Carol Osterman; and many nieces and nephews. The family has announced that memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Cushman's name to Our Lady of the Valley Church.
