Following a presentation by Monica Cohen and Jeffrey Wieboldt, chairmen of the Technology Committee, the Livingston Board of Education voiced its support for Livingston Public Schools' "1:1" or "one-to-one" initiative, in which every student in grades seven through 12 receives a laptop for Internet access and digital learning. Several members of the audience also voiced approval. The presentation focused on the educational rationale for one-to-one computing. Next, the district will address funding and the type of device.
